This is the best place to stay in Newport, hands down. The hotel has a library, coffee/puzzle room, gift shop, decks, reading room, restaurant, and, oh yeah – fantastic rooms.

Each room is literary-themed and comfortable.

I love staying in the dorm room, which you share with a few other folks of the same gender in bunk beds (it feels a little like summer camp). Breakfast is included in the cost of the room.

The hotel is right on the beach and it is also in a great part of town, in the historic Nye Beach portion. Nearby are plenty of restaurants and bars: Cafe Mundo, Savory Cafe, Nana’s Irish Pub.

A very solid 4 stars rating for the Hallmark. Definitely a great location, and the rooms have completely unobstructed views of the ocean from a cliff. Rooms are a little dated, especially the bathrooms, but the prices seem reasonable, esp. when compared to their sister property in Cannon Beach. There are some nice amenities as well, as having room service, an exercise room, a pool, and an Espresso cart in the lobby (yay!). Also, the staff is very friendly and helpful and definitely makes you feel welcome.

This hotel is everything you want in a romantic getaway, the view is amazing, the staff are nice and professional . You get a free full breakfast , free robe, and free salmon chowder !! We will most certainly be back to the elizabeth street inn
